What is SMT PCB Assembly?


It is a method of mounting electrical components directly on the surface of a printed circuit board. It allows components to be mounted directly on a surface mount PCB. The technology helps to miniaturize components, allowing surface mount technology to package more and more electronic components in a small space. As the demand for small consumer electronics continues to increase, so does the requirement for surface mount technology.

The machinery and equipment used in the SMT PCB assembly process include: automatic printing machine, solder paste inspection machine, high-speed placement machine, reflow oven machine, AOL optical inspection machine, etc.

Unlike traditional through-hole technology, SMT processing offers lower manufacturing costs, higher component density, and more direct and faster automation.

0201, 01005, etc.: Its products weld 0201 and 01005 size components with minimal precision, recognizing BGAs with a distance of 0.3mm and connectors with a distance of 0.2mm. We handle the smallest possible size, in line with the miniaturization and market requirements of the electronics industry.

The process of SMT PCB assembly is not limited to soldering and placing components or compounds on the PCB. The production process must also be followed:


1. First, put solder paste on the prepared PCB panel, and do the prerequisite steps for the placement of components.

2. Dispensing is to drop the industrial glue to the fixed position of the PCB panel. Its function is to fix the components on the PCB panel.

3. Mounting, accurately mounting the components on the PCB panel.

4. Curing, so that the surface mount components and the PCB board are firmly bonded together.

5. Reflow, melt the solder paste, and melt the solder paste firmly through the high temperature of the reflow furnace.

6. Cleaning to remove harmful residual substances on the PCB panel.
