What is SMT PCB Assembly?


It is a method of mounting electrical components directly on the surface of a printed circuit board. It allows components to be mounted directly on a surface mount PCB. The technology helps to miniaturize components, allowing surface mount technology to package more and more electronic components in a small space. Unlike traditional through-hole technology, SMT processing offers lower manufacturing costs, higher component density, and more direct and faster automation.

The process of SMT PCB assembly is not limited to soldering and placing components or compounds on the PCB. The production process must also be followed:

5. Reflow, melt the solder paste, and melt the solder paste firmly through the high temperature of the reflow furnace.

6. Cleaning to remove harmful residual substances on the PCB panel.
